Nannie's Birthday in Minnesota

Patrick and Mommy travelled to Minnesota to visit with the new Jake Justice and to celebrate Nannie Sue's Birthday. We had a great time and Patrick passed the time playing Power Rangers.

Summer came and went, our new Aupair Carolin came to live with us, Patrick started a new preschool year and the girls got new teeth, started to walk and turned 1! Whew.... Sophie and Grace will be 12 weeks old this tuesday. The question still remains--
are they identical or not? Initially they seemed to look so different... but lately people keep saying they are starting to look more alike. The other morning I was sleeping with both of them in the bed. Gracie Girl and I were lying face to face and Sophie was snuggled behind her. I awoke to Sophie looking me in the face. What happened to Grace? I looked around in confusion, thinking that maybe Pat had taken her out-- did I sleep through her fussiness? Then I realized it was mistaken identity...
it was Grace all the time.

Today Patrick decided he wanted to pose for pictures with his baby sisters. We selected one and made a Happy New Year Card.

He had quite a day! He went to his friend Connor's birthday party at Chuck e Cheese with his Dad. Of course they were late, he ate nothing and ran around in his Dash pajamas (the same one's he has worn day and night for the last week) playing all those crazy games.

I on the other hand took a nap and hung out with my babes.

We enjoyed a wonderful day with friends and family! Aunt Teresa joined us for opening presents... Pop-Pop, Nannie, Mommy Ryan, Daddy Ryan, Patrick, Sophie and Grace. Our family has grown!

Aunt Colleen joined us for dinner and took some wonderful photos of the girls dressed in their first Christmas Best! Patrick of course refused to donn his holiday garments and instead wore his Buzz pajamas. Oh well-- pick your battles :).

Batman and Robin

Patrick is adjusting as well as can be expected with the arrival of the two new entities. He has been returning to his happy self every once in a while. He has been enjoying playing with Aunt Teresa aka Robin.

This past friday (november 10) Grace hit the big 5.1 pounds. She truly has her father's appetite. (Those of you who have witnessed his amazing feat of eating will agree!)

Saturday was the girl's due date!
It was a beautiful day and we took a photo outside in the fresh air of myself and the 3 children. I was able to carry both girls in the sling for a few hours. When Nannie asked how I got both of them in I replied "I just stuffed Grace in there with her sister!" Now that she is the big 5.0 she can be stuffed.
